About me

I am a translator and a guide.

I live in Brittany and work in the area on the western border of Normandy. I have been a national interpreter-guide since 1998. I really enjoy working as a local tour guide. I like human contact, communication, cultural exchanges and foreign languages in general. If you just can’t wait to discover Upper Brittany or Lower Normandy, mythical Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay, the City of Saint-Malo famous for its privateers of yore, the Emerald Coast, the medieval city of Dinan or the capital town, Rennes… Then, if you please, follow my steps!

Experience

Since I started my professional career, I have had lots of opportunities to put my knowledge of the English and the German languages into practice.

I started guiding in Italian a few years ago. So far I propose visits of Mont-Saint-Michel, Dinan and Saint-Malo in that language.

I am glad to work with all kinds of publics: coach or cruise companies, councils, associations, (twinning) commitees, (school) projects, etc. You name them…I have probably guided them!

I have been able to acquire extensive experience of tours, day-trips, visits of towns or sites with a variety of publics in four foreign languages: English, French -of course- German, and Italian. I can also understand and speak a little Japanese now.

I translate from English or German into French with a specialization in the tourism, travel & hospitality sector. Heritage, culture, monuments, museums and sites to visit are my cup of tea!
